Lindsay Lohan

The INSIDER Summary:

• Lindsay Lohan has a new, European-sounding accent.
• She says it's because she speaks a lot of languages and she's learning even more.

Lindsay Lohan has picked up a new accent. Lately, the American actress, who now lives in London, has been sounding more like a European.

Here's what it sounds like, from a recent interview where she talks about the European refugee crisis and why it's good to party.

Lohan now sounds like someone who grew up in Europe (to this writer's untrained ear, France's Alsace region) and speaks English as a second language. Lohan explained where she got the accent to The Daily Mail, saying she picked it up because of her "trans-European identity."

"I've been learning different languages since I was a child," Lohan told The Daily Mail. "I'm fluent in English and French can understand Russian and am learning Turkish, Italian and Arabic."

She told The Daily Mail that she calls her new accent the "Lilohan."

In the past couple of years, Lohan has adopted a more global image. She visited Syrian refugees in Turkey and is planning to send them energy drinks and just opened Club Lohan in London.

"Whereas in the past I've been associated with nightclubs and clubbing I said why not do my own and make it a good place," Lohan told The Daily Mail. "Where there's bad things happening in the world we can focus on the bad things and fix them with the club we can create charity with the club."

A month ago, Lohan said the tip of her finger got sliced off in a boating accident and then got reattached by a plastic surgeon. She also made some disturbing claims of abuse against her ex-fiancé Egor Tarabasov. Tarabasov denied the allegations, according to E! News.
