Coinciding with the one-year anniversary of Lemonade, Beyoncé looks to give back by announcing Formation Scholars. The scholarship is intended for “young women who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident.”
A collaboration between Bey and her management company, Parkwood, four scholarships will in turn be given (one per college) to female incoming, current or graduate students focusing on creative arts, music, literature or African American studies. Participating institutions include Howard University, Spelman, Berklee College of Music, and Parsons School of Design.
