Millennials have been lambasted for their obsession with avocados, but they might be on to something.
A new study by the online dating site Zoosk analyzed 3,733,185 dating profiles and 364,609,566 first messages to find out how mentioning food affects users' dating lives.
The answer is peak millennial: mentioning "guacamole" resulted in a 144% increase in messages received.
"Potatoes" were the next most effective food item with a 101% increase, followed by "chocolate" with 100%.
Whatever you do, though, don't mention yams. Profiles that professed their love for this root vegetable saw a 70% decrease in inbound messages.
Other findings included sushi as millennials' favorite date night food and buffalo wings or ribs as the worst things to eat on a date.
