A man was arrested after allegedly working out naked at a Planet Fitness gym in Plaistow, New Hampshire, on Sunday, as the Boston Globe first reported.

Eric Stagno, 34, reportedly stripped down in the gym because Planet Fitness had advertised itself as a "judgment-free zone."

"He walked into the gym, stripped down at the door, then proceeded to walk back and forth a couple of times before settling in on the yoga mats," Police Captain Brett Morgan told INSIDER.  "When officers arrived, they found him there, completely nude: on his knees in a yoga-type position"

Witnesses told police that they felt "uncomfortable, disgusted, sick, and unsafe," around Stagno, who seemed not to notice their reactions, Morgan told the Boston Globe.

STAGNO, ERIC

Morgan told the INSIDER that the only comment that Stagno provided to police is that he thought the chain was a "judgment-free zone," an apparent reference to the chain's slogan.

Stagno was charged with indecent exposure, lewdness, and disorderly conduct. He has been released on bail and is set to be arraigned on September 21.

Representatives for Eric Stagno and Planet Fitness didn't immediately return INSIDER's request for comment.
