Katy PerryWhen Katy Perry is on tour, there's a few things the pop star likes to make her feel healthy and at home while on the road.

TMZ got their hands on Perry's backstage demands for her New Year's Eve concert at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, and here's what it takes to keep the "Roar" singer in fighting shape:

  • Fresh veggies AT ALL TIMES -- including spinach/broccoli/celery/beets/carrots/kale, etc.
  • Two large baskets of fruit -- one must be tropical.
  • Dinner must include a vegetarian option ... plus quinoa or couscous.
  • ALL meals must be low-fat and health conscious and cannot contain MSG.

Katy's dressing room requirements are even more specific:

  • Fresh organic grown fruit (including SLICED pineapple, mango, kiwis, etc)
  • Fresh cut crudites (cucumber, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, snap peas & celery ... plus ranch dip)
  • Healthy granola
  • Dried figs
  • Whole grain tortilla chips
  • Large bowl hummus
  • Fresh made guacamole
  • Two bottles of Pinot Grigio and one Argentine Malbec.

There you have it.

Jimmy Fallon In Vanity Fair: Lorne Michaels Advised Me Who To Date And Marry

Jimmy Fallon Vanity Fair Cover

Jimmy Fallon dreamed of being on "Saturday Night Live" ever since he was a teenager.

Fallon would tape each show for review later and insist on watching alone every Saturday night.

"I just didn’t want anyone ruining my experience,” Fallon tells David Kamp in Vanity Fair’s February cover story. “No small talk. I wanted to see the sketches, the new characters, what the angle was.”

Eventually, Fallon landed a spot on "SNL" at age 24.

Tina Fey, then a writer on the show, recalled the moment Fallon auditioned: "He’s one of two people I’ve ever seen who was completely ready to be on the show. Kristen Wiig is the other one…. And Jimmy was ready—like, if there had been a show to do that night.”

Once he got into the swing of things, Fallon tells Vanity Fair that show creator, Lorne Michaels, really became his mentor — on everything from work to his personal life.

“Lorne helped me with everything — with relationships, with me getting famous,” Fallon tells the mag. “I was going through certain steps, and there were certain things I couldn’t talk to my dad about, because he wouldn’t know. Like ‘I have money now. Do I still rent? Do I buy an apartment?’ Or ‘I’m in L.A., and I have to rent a car.’ [“Lorne” voice] ‘You should get a Lexus, because you want to be quiet.’ Or ‘Should I date this actress?’ [“Lorne” voice] ‘You can date her, but you probably shouldn’t marry her.’ And he’d be totally right.”

After Fallon left "SNL" in 2004 to pursue a (lackluster) career on the big screen, it was Michaels who eventually brought him back to TV to host "Late Night."

Come next month, Fallon will take the reigns from Jay Leno at the "Tonight Show," but he insists he will continue his own brand of humor.

“It’s still going to be the same show,” Fallon tells Vanity Fair. “What I can tell you is it will be the best of what we do.”

Monica Spear, Miss Venezuela

Popular telenovela actress and former Miss Venezuela Mónica Spear is dead at 29 after an attempted robbery late Monday night according to police, Globovision reports.

Spear, who lived in Miami, was traveling with her 5-year-old daughter, Maya, and ex-husband, Henry Thomas Berry, 49, when their rented Toyota Corolla broke down on the Puerto Cabello-Valencia highway in Caracas, Venezuela following a minor accident.

Armed men approached the car and the couple locked themselves inside. The assailants then opened fire, killing Spear and Berry, and shooting 5-year-old Maya in the leg.

Spear appeared in several TV soaps, including Telemundo’s “Flor Salvaje” in 2011 and “Pasión Prohibida” last year, according to Variety.

“We are deeply saddened by the horrible crime that affected the beloved actress Monica Spear and her family,” Telemundo said in a statement.  “Monica was not only a great professional as we saw in the two novelas she worked with us – but also an excellent person, always enthusiastic, full of strength and determination.  We wish a quick recovery to her daughter and send our deepest condolences to her family.”

Venezuela had more than 24,000 homicides in 2013, according to E! Online, and the U.S. Department of State rates the criminal threat level in the nation's capital, Caracas, as "critical."

Spear had been documenting their trip via Instagram prior to being murdered.

A Hollywood Assistant Accidentally CC'd A-Listers — And Their Responses Were Amazing

Judd ApatowNathane Kahane is a big movie producer in Hollywood, behind hits such as "This Is The End," the "Harold and Kumar" trilogy, and "Juno," among others.

But when Kahane recently moved his production company's offices from Santa Monica to Beverly Hills, something went awry  thanks to his assistant.

While sending out the company's updated address to the A-listers in his boss' Rolodex, the assistant accidentally cc'd— not bcc'd — all the recipients whose initials have an A or B.

The cc'd list included over 200 names, from studio heads such as Disney's Sean Bailey and New Regency's Pam Abdy, to celebrities such as Judd Apatow, Casey Affleck, and Warren Beatty.

Apatow was the first to "reply all."

Gawker, who gets a shout out in Apatow's response, published the funny follow-up emails:

Judd Apatow email

Apatow's response led to many others. Lionsgate executive, Michael Burns, showed he has a sense of humor:

I have a very sweet picture of Nathan on a pony I will send. Best to all . m

Marty Bowen, the producer behind the "Twilight" films, also made a joke:

Nathan, what's your Snapchat account?

We sensed a hint of sarcasm from notoriously moody actor Josh Brolin's response:

You just gave my email to 260 people. Awesome! 8x10s on the way!

Even a family-owned delicatessen in the Valley joined in on the fun!

PS....

You can all come visit us at Art's Deli in Studio City. www.artsdeli.com

And I am expecting Josh's signed photo when he visits!

Thank you for including us in your emails today!

Art's Deli - Studio City

But "Big Fish" and "Charlie's Angels" screenwriter John August was not as amused:

Gawker reports the assistant was still answering phones at Kahane's production company yesterday despite the snafu.

The Internet Totally Called Out Kim Kardashian For Photoshopping Her Sexy Selfie

Kim Kardashian hit the gym on Saturday "Getting right for the new year" with pal Blac Chyna and the two decided to selfie the aftermath.

The posts went viral, getting about half a million"likes" each.

But not everyone was a fan of the new mom's revealing selfie. Many critics quickly noticed that something was off in the second booty selfie.

Photoshop expert Peeje T told Radar Online the image was clearly "manipulated."

He explained that the curved doorframe in the picture is a dead giveaway. “You can definitely see a gap at the same level as Kim’s chest. This would be caused by using a tool to expand her breasts.”

"There also seems to be a more subtle distortion on the floor,” Peeje added to Radar, “You might notice how it follows the same contortion as Kim’s waist and hips.”

He added that in a second picture, it appears Kim has digitally pulled in her waistline.

After heavily debating the issue, The Cut included this GIF that helps prove Kim manipulated the image. Watch the mirror in the the back:

A spokesperson for Kardashian insists, however, "This story is false. She did not retouch the selfie."

Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep shook up the room at the National Board of Review Gala in NYC last night while giving a speech honoring Emma Thompson for her portrayal of “Mary Poppins” creator P.L. Travers in Disney’s “Saving Mr. Banks.”

While Streep called Thompson "a beautiful artist” who is "practically a saint,” she went on to talk about how Disney “supported an anti-Semitic industry lobbying group” and called him a “gender bigot.”

In the nine-minute speech, Streep continued that “Some of his associates reported that Walt Disney didn’t really like women,” quoting esteemed animator Ward Kimball on his old boss: “He didn’t trust women or cats.”

Streep continued to tear into Disney:

"Disney, who brought joy, arguably, to billions of people, was perhaps ... or had some racist proclivities. He formed and supported an anti-Semitic industry lobbying group. And he was certainly, on the evidence of his company's policies, a gender bigot."

Perhaps Streep forgot she just filmed "Into the Woods" for the studio?

NYC Entrepreneur Slams 'Wolf Of Wall Street' Scene In Which He Introduced Jordan Belfort To His Future Wife

Remember the pool party scene in "The Wolf of Wall Street" in which the already-married Jordan Belfort, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, first lays eyes on his future second wife?

wolf of wall street margot robbie

The role of "Naomi," played by Margot Robbie, is based on Belfort's real-life second wife, Nadine, to whom he was married for seven years and had two children with after meeting at that Hamptons pool party in the late '80s.

The only hitch is that at the time, Belfort was already married to his college sweetheart and Nadine arrived at the pool party with her ex-boyfriend, who is also featured in the scene.

the wolf of wall streetIn real life, that ex-boyfriend is Alan Wilzig a semi-professional race car driver and former president of the Trust Company of New Jersey, owned by his father, Siggi Wilzig.

Alan Wilzig famously built a private racetrack in the front yard of his 275-acre property in Taghkanic, NY., and is also co-owner of the restaurant Kutsher’s Tribeca, as well as a philanthropist who has donated over $1 million to the University of Pennsylvania. His brother "Sir Ivan" has also been known to throw a wild party or two at his Hamptons castle.

But Wilzig, now 48, wasn’t happy with the "nerdy" portrayal of himself in Martin Scorsese's movie based on actual events, and he took to Facebook to explain how the moment really happened.

In the Dec.24 status update, Wilzig is most peeved that Scorsese left out the fact that he was driving a red Ferrari Testarossa at the time.

He also offers a $1,000 charity donation to the "first person to take a photo of that scene" because he and his new wife "have no babysitter so I can't for at least 2 days."

Read the amazing Facebook post below. It's not hard to imagine Wilzig at one of Belfort's parties:

Alan Wilzig

CHARITY CONTEST TIME ! So 20-odd years ago while "The Wolf" was still growing his fangs - I had my first post-college relationship. We lived to together over a year and it was nice and then went on and off which was anything but nice. Like high-school but more adult-vicious  So at the end of year 2, as friendly-exes I took Nadine to Jordan Belfort's July 4th Westhampton Beach House party where the two of them met. The final 6 mos of the ROARING 80's , literally & figuratively. He left his high school sweetheart wife to marry her ; and the rest you can see in the movie. They fictionalized my brief cameo in this story by making me super-dork  My friend who makes films saw a preview with Scorsese and told me they emphatically they do NOT show me bringing her to the party in my Red Ferrari Testarossa that I was driving then (she was out to dinner in HIS white TR the next night  And of all things - "Leo as Jordan" mocks the "me" guy by saying " What ? You've never taken this girl for a ride on a JET SKI ?" (I told you it was fictionalized). First person to TAKE A PHOTO OF THAT SCENE ( I've yet to see it, and we have no babysitter so I can't for at least 2 days) SHOWING "ME", LEO & THE GIRL- gets to pick a charity who will receive $1000 from me by Friday morning at 10am (if in the US). NOW GO GET (and post) THE SHOT; and make some (IRS registered) org extra happy ! (and for those that followed in real-time or Timeline - I TOLD you I had "different (read as : ABHORRENT !!) values" when I met Karin which is why it took me a few months to realize what I had......

After PageSix published Wilzig's Facebook status update Friday, he seemed to be enjoying his own 15 minutes:

Alan Wilzig

Here's Wilzig's current Facebook profile picture, featuring his wife, Karin. The couple have two young children.

Tina Fey Amy Poehler

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler resumed their Golden Globes hosting duties for the second year in a row by welcoming "all of the women and gay men watching from home."

After noting the especially star-studded crowd this year, the duo went on to mock a slew of celebrities:

  • "Matt Damon, on any other night in any other room, but tonight — and don't take this the wrong way  you're basically a garbage person."
  • "Meryl Streep is so great in 'August Osage County' that she's still proving there's great roles for Meryl Streeps over 60.
  • "Martin Scorsese is here: Bobby and Bobby and Danny say hi."
  • "Bradley Cooper is here, star of 'American Hustle.' Interesting trivia: the original title of that movie was 'Explosion at the wig factory.'"
  • "Amy Poehler is nominated for her work on 'Parks and Recreation.' I believe Amy is here tonight can we get a shot of her? She looks fantastic, hard to believe she's a 42-year-old mother of two."

Jennifer Lawrence Amy Poehler

  • "Our friend Julia Louis Dreyfuss has two nominations tonight. Interestingly, Julia has chosen to sit in the film section tonight. Hi Julia, you know us from TV. Gosh, she's really changed. She's gross."

Steve Madden Thought His 'Wolf Of Wall Street' Portrayal Was 'Too Nerdy'

Steve Madden Occupy Wall StreetIf you've seen "The Wolf of Wall Street," you will recall the real life story line of Jordan Belfort, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, taking Steve Madden's shoe company public in 1993.

The IPO was a smashing success  until it all came crumbling down as Belfort ratted out Madden and others profiting from the brokerage firm’s illegal activities.

Jake HoffmanIn the film, Madden is portrayed as a shy, baseball cap-wearing, shoe-selling Jew from Long Island, played by Dustin Hoffman's 32-year-old actor son, Jake Hoffman  who is real life best buds with "Wolf" co-star, Jonah Hill.

In Madden's first interview since seeing the film, he tells PageSix of his on-screen portrayal: “The guy was too nerdy.”

Director Martin Scorsese did, however, nail the baseball cap that never leaves Madden’s head.

While the real Belfort went on to serve 22 months in federal prison, Madden refused cooperate with the feds and wound up spending 31 months behind bars.

While in prison, Madden fell in love with Wendy Ballew, an employee he corresponded with, according to PageSix. They got married as soon as he got out and now have three children.

As for whether he holds any grudges against Belfort, Madden says, “He ratted me out to save himself, but it was a long time ago, and I try not to live in the past. You’ve got to move on, and I have."

In fact, “We’ve done very well,” Madden said of his current shoe line that boasts over 185 stores across the globe. “Our stock has gone up about 100 times. We started with a $20 million market cap, and now the company is worth more than $2.3 billion.”

“Not to get all Gandhi or anything, but I had to go through all that to get where I am now,” Madden said. “No regrets.”

And Madden's "Wolf of Wall Street" 15 minutes of fame aren't up just yet. A documentary on Madden, produced by former gossip columnist Mitchell Fink, has been shooting for the past six months.

Jonah Hill Got His Big Break Making Prank Calls For Dustin Hoffman

Jonah Hill Jake Hoffman

Crossroads private school in Santa Monica, Ca., has a slew of celebrity alumni, from Kate Hudson to Michael Bay.

And it was there that a young Jonah Hill befriended actor Dustin Hoffman's son, Jake Hoffman.

Hill, now 30, told The Jewish Journal that the Hoffman family came to be hugely influential in his life — especially his career.

In fact, it was performing prank phone calls for Dustin Hoffman that ultimately led to Hill becoming an actor.

“I used to make crank phone calls for him,” Hill said. Hoffman had friends he’d have Hill call, as well as assorted strangers; the goal was to get the person to buy into the conversation for as long as possible. “I had this bit where I’d phone people, pretend to be a celebrity’s assistant and ask for outlandish things,” Hill said. In one call to a seedy hotel during Oscar season, he pretended to be Tobey Maguire’s assistant and got the owner to agree to install a tank for a pet seal. “I’ve always said crank calls are one of the best improv exercises you can do, because you’re never put on the spot that heavily in a scene,” Hill said. “It’s the most jagged, maneuverable situation possible because you’re dealing with a real person.”

Apparently, Hoffman thought so, too, because he helped get Hill a bit part in his 2004 film “I Heart Huckabees” — the break that eventually led to Apatow’s “40-Year-Old Virgin.”

Hill has since gone on to star in more serious films such as "Cyrus" and "Moneyball" alongside Brad Pitt, for which he was nominated for an Oscar.

But the Hoffman/Hill storyline came full circle in "Wolf of Wall Street," in which Hill got to share the screen in a few scenes with his longtime pal Jake, who played Steve Madden in the Scorsese flick.

Lena Dunham Gets First Vogue Cover As Hollywood’s 'Hardest-Working Millennial'

Lena Dunham Vogue

Season 3 of HBO's "Girls" premiered Sunday night, but what most fans don't realize is how much hard work goes into putting the 30-minute show together.

The brain behind the broadcast is 27-year-old Lena Dunham, who for the first time ever appears on the upcoming issue of Vogue and talks to Nathan Heller about being  what the magazine dubs  the hardest-working millennial in show business.

But how does Dunham have the time to write, act, direct, edit, and produce "Girls"?

“She writes constantly,” says co-star Allison Williams. “Late at night, early in the morning, constantly” adding that Dunham is an “aggregator of humanity.”

Dunham tells Vogue she writes on planes, at the "Girls" studio, and often in bed.

Jenni Konner, "Girls" executive producer and Dunham's frequent writing partner, credits her ability to quickly analyze experiences: “Where it takes me 20 years to write about my 20s in a really honest way. It takes her 24 hours to, like, have gone on a bad date, experienced it, had pain about it, gone home, metabolized it, and turned it into art. It’s the fastest system I’ve ever seen.”

Actor Adam Driver, Dunham's on-screen boyfriend, says, “The fact that she’s able to do it in the moment, as it’s happening, is her unique talent. Maybe it’s just good genes?”

Dunham's mother is acclaimed artist Laurie Simmons, while her father, Carroll Dunham, is a painter "celebrated for his figures with phalluses for noses," notes Vogue.

Needless to say, it made for an interesting upbringing.

“She wasn’t nearly as successful in the world of kids as she was in the world of adults,” her mother recalls. “And because she wasn’t interested in a lot of other kids, she had, really, a lot of time to make stuff.”

Dunham reveals, "I had really bad OCD. I was really lonely at school. I felt a lot of shame. Seeing what I thought was people lightening their own load, or lifting their own burdens, by writing about them or singing about them just made the world seem more open.”

Dunham has since "made the world seem more open" with the numerous naked scenes in "Girls." She explains why it was important for her to show real bodies and more realistic sexual situations on-screen.

“There was a sense that I and many women I knew had been led astray by Hollywood and television depictions of sexuality,” she says. “Seeing somebody who looks like you having sex on television is a less comfortable experience than seeing somebody who looks like nobody you’ve ever met.”

Despite revealing more than most on her HBO show, Dunham insists she is still a fiercely private person.

"No one would describe me as a private person, but I actually really am,” she explains. “It’s important for me to have a lot of time alone, and to have a lot of time in my house by myself. My entire life sort of takes place between me and my dog, my books, and my boyfriend, and my private world. To me, privacy isn’t necessarily equated with secret-keeping. What’s private is my relationship with myself.”

But in addition to her heavy "Girls" workload, Dunham has made it out of the house enough to work on a new documentary film, write essays for The New Yorker, a sort-of memoir, and is currently developing a second HBO series.

Despite all of her success, Dunham insists she is still part of the awkward "Hannah" character she portrays on "Girls."

“I still go to a party and say something embarrassing to someone, and then write them a weird e-mail about it the next day, and then write them a text because I think they didn’t get the e-mail,” she tells the magazine. “No matter what happens with your level of success, you still have to deal with all the baggage that is yourself.”

"Girls" executive producer and Dunham pal, Judd Apatow, commends her resilience: “The praise hasn’t thrown her, and the criticism hasn’t thrown her, which is remarkable. I would be naked and crying under my pillow.”

Kate Gosselin People magazine cover

Former "Jon and Kate Plus 8" reality star Kate Gosselin and her smiling twin 13-year-old daughters appear on the cover of this week's People magazine next to the headline "Real Life With Our Mom."

But it appears the girls' real life with Kate is not all rosy.

While promoting the People cover story this morning on the "Today" show, the teen girls refused to answer questions from Savannah Guthrie, even after being repeatedly prompted by their mom to "spit it out.”

Kate then offered, “I don’t want to speak for them but, Mady, go ahead. Sort of the things that you said in [People] magazine, that years later they’re good, they’re fine. Go for it, it’s your chance.”

“No,” Mady replied, saying, “You just said it.”

Guthrie then asked Gosselin whether it was detrimental to continuously showcase her children on national TV, but the onetime reality star insisted her teenagers wanted to do the show.

When asked about bad press the family sometimes received, Mady Gosselin finally spoke up, saying, "I would just say they don't have the full story ... a lot of people think filming this show damaged us, but it's only really helped."

But when Guthrie asked the girls if they would want to do another reality show, they're surprisingly both in agreement with a resounding "Definitely."

"It was really fun," says Mady, also speaking for her twin sister, "Cara thinks so too, she's just not going to say it."

Watch the super-awkward interview below:

In the People magazine cover story, the girls elaborated a bit more about life after reality TV:

"People expect us to be damaged," Cara says, as Mady joins in: "People think we're supposed to be messed up, like, 'Oooooh, the poor Gosselin kids, they're going to be scarred for life, waaaaah.' Here's the big news: we're not messed up."
