Saturday marks Meghan Markle's 37th birthday — her first as the Duchess of Sussex. And while her day won't include the lavish celebration you might expect for a duchess, the royal family is still pulling out all the stops to make her feel special.
Social media accounts associated with the royal family have been sharing sweet messages for the Duchess of Sussex. Kensington Palace, which is said to represent the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, shared an up-close shot of Markle smiling to both its official Instagram and Twitter accounts. The caption read, "Thank you everyone for your lovely messages on The Duchess of Sussex's birthday! #HappyBirthdayHRH."
The Royal Family account, which updates the public on all things relating to Buckingham Palace, AKA the queen, also shared a sweet message for Markle. Alongside an image of the queen and the Duchess of Sussex laughing was a caption that reads, "Happy Birthday to HRH The Duchess of Sussex! #HappyBirthdayHRH."The queen and Meghan Markle appear to be getting along quite well since the former actress joined the royal family.
Of course, the in-laws had to give Markle a special shoutout as well. Clarence House, which represents Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, shared an image of the three royals smiling during an appearance back in May, which was held in honor of Prince Charles' birthday.
On top of all the love she's getting on social media, Meghan Markle will be spending her birthday surrounded by her new family at the wedding of Prince Harry's childhood friend Charlie Van Straubenzee to Daisy Jenks.
