A royal chef reveals Queen Elizabeth's favorite chocolate

queen elizabeth

The INSIDER Summary:

  • Queen Elizabeth II is a huge fan of dark chocolate.
  • She prefers dark chocolate that's 60 percent or higher.
  • Her favorite chocolates are Bendicks Bittermints — which contain 95 percent cacao dark choclate fondant with a mint filling.

Queen Elizabeth II is something of a chocoholic. She will give the green light to pretty much “anything we put on the menu that had chocolate,” says former royal chef Darren McGrady. But you won’t find her snacking on any old candy bar that comes her way. The Queen is quite particular.

For one thing, she likes her chocolate a little on the bitter side. “She likes chocolate, but only dark chocolate,” says McGrady. “She’s not a big fan of milk or white chocolate.” Sounds like along with these other foods Queen Elizabeth will never eat, U.K. classic Cadbury Dairy Milk won’t be earning a royal warrant anytime soon. But lucky for Her Majesty, dark chocolate has this major heart benefit.

Not that just any slab of dark chocolate will do. Queen Elizabeth II says the darker the better—she prefers dark chocolate that’s 60 percent or higher, says McGrady. So at 45 percent cacao, a Hershey’s Special Dark bar might not make the cut.

bendicks bittermints

One type she does love? Bendicks Bittermints. “That’s her favorite for snacking,” says McGrady. With a look at the ingredients, it’s no surprise. The sweets are a 95 percent cacao dark chocolate fondant (how’s that for bitter!) filled with an intensely strong mint middle. So think of a York Peppermint Pattie, only better. Bendicks even earned itself a Royal Warrant in 1962.

Want to try one? You’d be hard pressed to find the chocolates in any U.S. candy store, but you can find them on Amazon. We recommend stocking up, because chocolate is good for your brain.

9 scientific ways celebrities stay looking young

Celebs Aging Header

Many celebrities look decades younger than their actual ages.

Although many of them undergo treatments and procedures that the majority of people can't afford to make them look flawless, a number of their natural anti-aging tips — like wearing sunscreen and eating balanced meals— can actually work.

INSIDER consulted scientific studies to find which of their beauty secrets are based in fact.

Here are 9 scientifically proven ways that celebrities stay looking young.

They drink plenty of water.

Celebrities like Jennifer Aniston and America Ferrara claim that drinking water has worked wonders for them.

Aniston, 48, told Yahoo! Beauty that "drinking a lot of water" is one of her anti-aging secrets. And Ferrera, 33, told InStyle: "Once I started drinking more water, my skin, hair and nails all flourished."

A 2015 study, published in the Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology journal, helps to confirm the belief that drinking plenty of water benefits the skin.

Researchers collected a sample of 49 healthy females who were then split into two groups. For a month, one group drank at least 5.2 liters of water a day while the other group drank less than 3.2 liters.

The researchers found that consuming more water daily is a great way to boost skin's hydration levels. Moreover, hydrated skin can lead to a youthful glow over time.

They make time for sleep.

Back in 2011, Christina Aguilera, 36, told People magazine that she takes pride in sleeping for a minimum of eight hours, which is consistent with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's recommendation.

"People spend money on beauty potions, but a good night's rest makes all the difference," the singer said.

In 2016, scientists explored the relationship between insufficient sleep and dermatoligic conditions. Apparently, not sleeping enough can wreak havoc on your skin, causing you to look older and recover slower from skin damage or irritation.

But they never fall asleep with their makeup still on.

Mary J. Blige, 46, told InStyle that she never goes a full day or night without washing her face.

"You have to get all the dirt and makeup out of your pores," she said.

In fact, the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) lists washing your face gently as one of the best ways to prevent premature skin aging. According to the organization, "scrubbing your skin clean can irritate your skin. Irritating your skin accelerates skin aging."

In July 2010, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, 45, tweeted his skin care routine — which includes Neutrogena's Deep Clean Cleanser ($7) — that keeps him looking youthful.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's divorce is still on – despite what you may have read

angelina jolie brad pittThe INSIDER Summary:

  • Rumors have been circulating that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are putting their divorce on hold.
  • Another source clarified that nothing significant has actually happened in the relationship.
  • There's a pause in the process because they both have made the children a priority.
  • There is currently no ill will toward one another.

Not so fast, guys. Our report from earlier this week that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reconciling may not be entirely accurate thanks to some clarifications per another inside source. While one source told Us Weekly that they're working on their relationship, new information has come out since that story was published to dispel it. This new source came forward to Entertainment Tonight to say that's not the case.

"There’s a pause in the [divorce] process because they both made children the priority, but nothing significant has changed in their relationship," the new insider said, adding that they have no ill will toward one another right now, and "both have demonstrated great civility recently for their kids."

But that alone doesn't mean reconciliation, the source said.

"There isn’t one in the works," the insider continued, saying the divorce just seems like its being dragged out because "these things always take a long time, and right now their main focus is on their family and the kids."

We really hoped they might fix things, but we also kind of knew it was too good to be true.

Original story:

Um, hold the phone. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie might be calling off their divorce?!

That's what a source close to them is saying, and if true, it would be a very interesting development for the pair. "The divorce is off," an insider told Us Weekly in this week's issue. "They haven’t done anything to move it forward in several months and no one thinks they are ever going to."

That's honestly shocking considering Jolie and Pitt have been separated for months now and have made it appear as if they are going to co-parent even if they aren't together. Additionally, while Pitt has stirred up rumors around his dating again, many reports indicated Jolie was keeping to herself. For months now, it's appeared that these two were moving on and away from each other.

But allegedly she has changed her tune about Pitt entirely. "She’s still so in love with him," the source alleged to Us.

Of course, Jolie isn't the only one having a change of heart here. Pitt, who admitted in an interview with GQ that he was having some pretty serious alcohol problems around the time of the split, has reportedly quit booze cold turkey. "He got sober to try and win her back," the source said. "He knew he had a problem that he had to take care of. And that’s all she ever wanted."

All we're waiting for now is the announcement from the allegedly reconciled couple; the insider added, "Everyone thinks they are going to get back together. It wouldn’t be surprising if they announced that they’re calling it off and trying to work things out."

This week, with the end of Chris Pratt and Anna Faris' marriage as well as Amber Heard and Elon Musk's blossoming romance, we needed this news. Bless Brangelina.

5 reasons why being the middle child is actually the best

$

kardashian

Being the middle child comes with its grievances. People even associate a "syndrome" with kids who grow up with an older and younger sibling.

Unfortunately, however, you can't control your birth order. So, instead of fighting it, middle children should embrace their status and know that there are even reasons to celebrate it.

INSIDER spoke with Katrin Schumann, co-author of "The Secret Power of Middle Children" about the benefits of being a middle child.

Middle children are more independent as they gain confidence.

Middle children typically have more freedom and less pressure growing up. Sometimes they can even get away with more things as a kid. This, over time, leads to them developing more independence and confidence, according to Schumann.

"Research shows that as middles mature they gain self-confidence — this likely has to do with them recognizing and valuing innate strengths, and downplaying perceived weaknesses," Schumann told INSIDER. However, although they gain confidence as they mature, middle children still have less of an ego than their other siblings, Schumann told Psychology Today

Independence is a classic example of how middle children turn their circumstances — sometimes being ignored — into their strengths, learning how to live on their own.

Middles know how to negotiate and keep the peace.

Middles who are often labeled as peacemakers or peacekeepers learn how to negotiate. Witnessing fights between siblings is a good way of learning how to be diplomatic, a good listener, and persuasive.

"People see only the negatives and overlook the significant positives for middles, such as the fact that they develop great negotiation skills, empathy and flexibility, and are often innovative out-of-the-box thinkers," Schumann said. This expertise develops out of a need as a child and then turns into bankable skills.

Middle children often feel happy in their relationships.

Research shows that middle-borns are often characterized as faithful and monogamous in relationships.

"Middles make great partners and friends," Schumann said.

As Schumann told Psychology Today, studies show that middles also tend to be the most adventurous when it comes to sex and are often the happiest and most satisfied in their relationships.

The INSIDER Summary:

  • Kylie Jenner is officially 20-years-old.
  • The reality star proves time and time again that she is the queen of selfies.
  • From the perfect lighting to the best angle, Kylie Jenner knows all the secrets to the perfect photo.
  • Here are 20 of Kylie Jenner's best photos of all time.

Happy birthday, Kylie Jenner! What better way to celebrate Kylie’s 20th than with a look back at her best photos ever? From bikinis to lingerie, these are full-stop her 20 best pics ever!

Can you believe that Kylie Jenner is 20 years old today? August 10 is the cosmetics queen’s birthday, and it’s basically the biggest day of the entire year. Kylie’s no longer a teenager, though it’s hard to believe she was still one in the first place. If there’s one thing consistent about the younger Jenner sister, it’s that she loves herself a good, sexy Instagram photo. After all, she’s social media royalty.

So, obviously we’re celebrating Kylie’s big 2-0 by sharing her sexiest, sultriest, and most breathtaking photos! Kylie’s the selfie queen, so this was a very difficult task to complete. How did we ever manage to choose from her literally thousands of eligible pics? We somehow managed! Check out our favorite 20 photos in honor of her 20th birthday!

If you’re Kylie, there are a few key things that every selfie needs. You have to have perfect lighting, of course. And when you’re in that glowing fake sunshine, you have to find your angle. It usually involves throwing your shoulders in, and managing to suck in your stomach and thrust out your chest at the same time. You know, it also helps if you look like Kylie when you’re trying to achieve this. If you’re in a fun mood that day, maybe you’ll pair a new wig with your coordinating lingerie! You can’t go wrong either with a selfie from bed. Nothing screams “sexy” like a shot of underboob and abs from the bedroom! Of course, the butt selfie (are we still calling them belfies) is a staple. If you have a butt that famous, it’s a crime not to show it off! Which of Kylie’s looks is your favorite?

This 50-year-old model looks half his age — and the internet can't handle it

$

chuandoThe INSIDER Summary:

  • The internet was shocked when they found out ChuanDo Tan was 50 years old.
  • Tan has had a career in singing, modeling, and even photography.
  • When asked his secret, Tan explained that he works out regularly, doesn’t bathe early in the morning or late at night, and eats spicy Hainanese chicken.

Most of us need to put in at least a little bit of effort to look younger. We wear the right clothes. We don’t overdo it on the makeup. We take care of our skin, often times to little avail. On the other hand, a very select few are blessed with naturally good looks that make it impossible for anyone to figure out their actual ages.

Take ChuanDo Tan from Singapore. Without knowing anything about him, how old would you say he is? 23? 25?

Now what if we tell you he’s a pop-singer-turned-model-turned-photographer? That’s quite a career, so he must be a little older. Late twenties? Early thirties?

NOPE. Try 50.

Yep. You wouldn’t believe it just by looking at him, but Tan is actually 50 years old. Halfway to 100. He was born in the late ‘60s, before cell phones and Post-It notes and push-through can tops. He was alive before the Internet was even invented, and now he’s all the Internet can talk about.

So what’s the secret to Tan’s fountain-of-youth appearance? He told Daily Mail that he works out regularly, doesn’t bathe early in the morning or late at night, and eats spicy Hainanese chicken. That probably does account for something, but we’re guessing genetics play an important, unrecognized role. However, Instagrammer valefun2000 poses an interesting theory: “I have the feeling that you are a vampire. Not a normal, pale vampire, but a vampire with a healthy skin color that doesn’t age.”

It will probably take some trial and error to find the precise time for your age-reversing afternoon bath that supposedly get you Tan’s good looks. In the meantime, try incorporating these habits of people who look younger than their age into your daily routine, and ponder this mind-boggling question: If this is Tan at 50, what did he look like at 20?

The INSIDER Summary:

  • Pippa Middleton gifted her sister a sentimental necklace after the birth of Prince George.
  • The Merci Marman Duchess Necklace is engraved with Prince George's name and features a small "W" charm.
  • The necklace costs $129.
  • Princess Diana was frequently seen wearing a similar pendant.

Kate Middleton has plenty of in her jewelry in her drawers to choose from at any given moment — there’s the Collingwood pearl drop earrings she inherited from Princess Diana or the famous blue sapphire engagement ring from her royal hubby. Still, it’s not always the priciest pieces the Duchess of Cambridge reaches for. In fact, there’s one necklace in particular that she wears on the reg that you can snag for less than $130!

Kate Necklace Gold Piece From Merci Maman

The piece in question is Merci Maman’s aptly-named The Duchess Necklace ($129), which Kate received as a gift from her younger sister back in 2013 after the birth of her son. As Maman explained in a recent blog post, the gift was not only sentimental because of its giver, but because of the meaning behind it.

Pippa reportedly got the necklace engraved with a pendant bearing Prince George’s full name, a little gold-plated boy charm, along with a small “W” (for William) charm. And aside from being thoughtful, the necklace is full of other significance: it’s also a nod to a similar piece the Duchess’’s mother-in-law used to wear!

princess diana

“The young Lady Spencer owned a simple gold chain bearing her initial ‘D,'” the blog revealed. “Upon the birth of Prince William in 1982, Prince Charles gave Diana the gift of a gold pendant engraved with their new son’s name, which she always wore close to her heart.” By giving Kate her own gold-plated pendant with Prince George’s name on it, Pippa was helping her big sis to carry on the tradition. Aww!

That Duchess Necklace is still available on the site, with options to customize it as your own by choosing the metal (Kate wears the gold-plated version, but sterling silver is also up for grabs), the number of boy or girl charms you need, and your baby’s name and date of birth. Here’s your chance to snag a piece of Middleton’s jewelry box for less than $150!

Rihanna's hairstylist reveals her 3 favorite hair products

The INSIDER Summary:

  • Rihanna's hairstylist revealed what products help keep her hair looking its best.
  • She loves the Peter Thomas Roth Mega Rich-Conditioner and Phytopolléine Botanical Scalp Treatment.
  • Another one of her favorites, ORS Olive Oil Moisturizing Hair Lotion, is under $5.

Real talk: Anyone who has even so much
as glanced at a picture of Rihanna knows her beauty game is consistently perfect. Seriously, the 29-year-old takes risks regularly (read: her turquoise hair that we fell in love with earlier this week) and has quickly morphed into our ultimate hair and makeup goals. So, when Rihanna’s long-time hairstylist Yusef Williams revealed the exact products he uses to make the singer’s hair look fabulous, we were all ears.

Williams, who joined Rihanna’s glam squad 10 years ago, recently told Refinery 29 about his long history with the singer, or, as he calls it, their “hair romance.”

“[Rihanna] has a very strong opinion about what she doesn’t want to look like, that’s for sure. That makes our life a lot easier,” he says. “I wouldn’t want to work with someone who isn’t completely confident in what they look like or in their hair.”

A post shared by badgalriri (@badgalriri) on

In addition to the bold hues, over-the-top styles, and constant chops, Williams explains that thoughtful care is a major component of Rihanna’s routine. “Underneath the wigs and weaves, we are big on hair care and treatment,” he explains. Williams gravitates towards moisturizing creams and treatments to make sure Rihanna’s hair stays strong and healthy. “Deep conditioners are imperative at all times,” Williams says. “You have to let your hair breathe, give it a break, and take care of it.”

Williams is full of good tips. “Hot oil treatments are my favorite, and raw castor oil is really good to keep the hair solid and strong,” he says. He’s also down with the esoteric: “I say that you have to talk to the hair and pray on it,” he added. “It’s real.”

Below, we rounded up the three products Williams uses regularly on Rihanna’s hair—including a drugstore favorite that’s under $5 (no joke!). Shop them all, ahead, and be one step closer to becoming a hair boss like RiRi herself.

Prince Harry's ex says dating a royal can be 'incredibly frustrating'

prince harry cressida bonas

The INSIDER Summary:

  • Cressida Bonas opened up about her relationship with Prince Harry.
  • The couple dated for two years before breaking up in 2014.
  • Bonas revealed that she feels pigeonholed in her career after dating royalty.
  • Much of her career has been focused on her relationship with Prince Harry, even in her pursuit to be a respected actress.

Dating is difficult—for proof, just look at Aziz Ansari, who has built an entire television show around it, or watch the most recent episode of "The Bachelorette," including its difficult breakup. But one would imagine (or daydream) that dating a royal might make the entire ordeal feel like a fairy tale…but according to one woman who knows, it’s far more demanding and full of expectations. Just ask Cressida Bonas—Prince Harry’s former girlfriend is speaking out about their time together and how she’s changed since their breakup.

The couple dated for two years, after they were set up by Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice. But despite murmurs of a royal wedding, they broke up in 2014. After a few wild years, Prince Harry settled down with American "Suits" actress and philanthropist Meghan Markle. Bonas is now back with her former boyfriend, Harry Wentworth-Stanley.

In the BBC Radio 4 interview, the socialite and actress discusses her role as George Orwell’s second wife in a new play. “I don’t think anyone is good or bad,” Bonas said of her character, although one could surmise it could be equally said of her conflicted ex. But the conversation didn’t revolve entirely around the new play.

“We try and see women in their own right as well as not being overshadowed by the men in their lives. But I wonder if your own personal experience had given you some insight. Of course you received huge amounts of publicity when you dated Prince Harry. Did that give you an insight into having your life defined…by a much more famous man?” the host asked.

“I think it’s that thing of being pigeonholed,” Bonas responded. “It’s incredibly frustrating, especially in the industry that I’m in, but it is the way it is,” she continued. Now she’s “making a stand and saying no, actually, this is who I am and this is what I want to do.” Bonas deftly brought the conversation back to her acting career, proving that while she might not be a royal, she certainly has the decorum expected of one.

  • Solange Knowles has shared a photo of herself covered in hives.
  • It was reportedly taken by the paparazzi on her wedding day in November 2014.
  • She referred to the picture on Instagram as her "favorite (and most true to myself) selfie."

Solange Knowles is making headlines after sharing a photo of herself covered in hives.

The picture, which we first saw on Glamour, looks like it was taken by the paparrazi on her wedding day in 2014.

A post shared by Solange (@saintrecords) on Aug 9, 2017 at 8:13pm PDT on

Seated in the backseat of a car, several areas of Knowles' face and neck appear to be red with irritation in the photo, which she posted on August 10.

She captioned the zoomed-in picture: "my favorite (and most true to myself) selfie 🌹🌹🌹 lol."

Fans flooded her comments, and many users mistakenly believed the photo was recent.

"I LOVE it when a beautiful woman, who also happens to be in the lime light [sic], isn't afraid to show the raw reality of her skin, up close and personal [sic]," one Instagrammer commented.

Another person wished her a speedy recovery. "Praying it clears up quickly for you Solange," they wrote.

A post shared by Solange (@saintrecords) on

However, this wasn't the first time that Knowles has addressed the incident. In November 2014, E! News reported that she took to social media once a series of photos showing her covered in hives had surfaced online.

A now-deleted Instagram video showed Knowles and her son playfully dancing at the wedding reception.

"Shout out to Benadryl yo, lol. NOTHING was gonna stop me from having my mother and son dance with Julez," she wrote in the caption of the video, according to the Daily Mail

On Twitter, Refinery29 reported that she responded to a concerned fan saying: "Got em [sic] from turning up x100 during our second line.I was hot, wearing a cape,& happy as hell:) [sic]."It's unclear what exactly Solange was referring to in her response, although this could have been another reference to her dancing with family and friends.

Despite society's often unattainable standards of beauty, it's inspiring to see a celebrity unapologetically showing that they are human too.

A royal chef reveals that Prince William and Harry's diet growing up was no different than normal children

The INSIDER Summary:

  • Princess Diana allowed Princes William and Harry eat like every other child, fried chicken and all.
  • Former royal chef Darren McGrady would trick the boys into thinking they were eating the same meals as their mother.
  • The nanny was stricter about their diets than Princess Diana.

You might imagine Princes William and Harry ate like, well, kings when they were little. Royals must have refined taste, right?

Not necessarily. When they were kids, you wouldn’t find William and Harry indulging in steak tartare or lobster Thermidor.

Former royal chef Darren McGrady, who cooked for Queen Elizabeth II for 11 years before Princess Diana hired him in 1992, says William and Harry ate surprisingly normally growing up. “Although they were royal princes, they still had children’s palates,” says McGrady.

And Princess Diana wouldn’t make them use her diet secret for staying slim, either. “Princess Diana would say, ‘If you want fried chicken or loaded potato skins or hamburgers, that’s fine,’” says McGrady. So even royals feed their kids the same fatty foods we all do! (Find out how William and Harry are keeping Diana’s memory alive.)

Princess Diana wouldn’t join her sons in their indulgent eating habits, but they thought she would. While she would eat poached chicken, which doesn’t require any fat to cook, Diana let William and Harry eat theirs roasted. McGrady would take the skin off the boys’ chicken so it would look like their mom’s to trick them into thinking their dinners were the same. Check out these other secrets that are actually good to keep from your kids.

While Diana was lax about what her sons ate, their nanny was actually the stricter one. “The nanny always insisted they had their protein, roast chicken, and cabbage because cabbage was good for you,” says McGrady. (Learn more things nannies secretly think.) But if the Princess gave William and Harry permission to eat their fatty favorites, McGrady would let them.

There was one time McGrady did insist on a healthier dinner one evening though. He found a note that said “Please give the boys pizza tonight instead of chicken,” signed with the nanny’s name. But there was something fishy—it was in a six-year-old’s handwriting. “I knew the boys wrote that, so I said ‘No, I’ll give them chicken,’” says McGrady.

If you want to keep your kids healthy, watch out for these toxic things in their favorite foods.

Tom Cruise apparently injured himself while attempting a stunt on the set of "Mission: Impossible 6" in London.

TMZ obtained video on Sunday of the superstar attempting to jump from the top of one building to another and falling short of his mark.

Here's video of the stunt:

The 55-year-old actor, who has become known in the last decade for pulling off amazing stunts without the help of a stunt double, looks to have injured his right leg when he crashed into the side of the building he was jumping to. He's visibly limping after climbing onto the top of the building.

Cruise had two safety cables attached to him.

The actor was pulled back with the cables to the building he originally jumped from and is seen limping away out of view of the camera.

tom cruise mission impossible rogue nationBusiness Insider contacted Paramount Pictures and Cruise's rep for an update on his condition and did not receive an immediate response.

This looks to be one of the more tame stunts Cruise has done in recent years. For "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation," the actor hung on the side of an Airbus 400 as the plane sped down the runway and eventually took off. For "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol," he climbed the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

Paramount plans to release "Mission: Impossible 6" on July 27, 2018.

At INSIDER, interns were expected to work 40 hours a week, so you’re basically a full-time employee. If you’re not responsible enough to handle all of your tasks, it has a huge impact on the team as a whole. Don’t wait for others to tell you what to do. OWN your ish- and do it well.

2. Speak up

There were multiple times where I was talking with other interns and they complained about work load or other tasks. 9 times out of 10, they were too afraid to share their problems with their manager. If you want to have a better internship experience, it might just be a simple conversation away.

3. Network (the smart way)

Right after my first week, I received an email for office hour opportunities with our CEO, Henry Blodget. After a minor anxiety attack, I requested a 10-minute time-slot to speak with him. I learned so much about the company and prepared questions beforehand so I wasn’t wasting his time, but that moment was invaluable. Afterward, I made a point to have coffee or meetings with other managers at INSIDER just to pick their brains. It’s not always about “what can you give me”, but what they can teach you! Your willingness to listen and learn will go a long way. It’s a lot classier than a conversation solely revolving around how you can stay at the company. Save that conversation for later down the line. However, there’s a clear line between genuine interest and kissing up to your boss. Make sure you’re not being that intern in the office.

4. Volunteer

Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there! I volunteered for everything from organizing the office March Madness tournaments to crazy, viral videos. Yes, that’s me in that spicy lollipop video below! (I don’t think my tongue has fully recovered, lol! Here’s another video where I’m slightly more normal.) What’s important is that you’re showing initiative and you’re not afraid to take on more tasks while balancing your own.

5. Know your ish

If you put Excel, Photoshop, or other skills on your resume, make sure you know it backwards and forwards. Go the extra mile and keep up with industry publications in your field. This way, you can introduce new topics and news to your managers and see if they can be implemented at your office. They’ll be impressed with how much you care about the company and not just solely your job.

6. Be on time

Pot, meet kettle. This has always been a HUGE problem for me. Fashionably late only works with parties, not so much when you’re trying to be professional.

Screen Shot 2017 08 14 at 11.08.10 AM

7. Write down your tasks

You can do this either every week or every month, but it will help you when the time comes to update your LinkedIn or resume. Also, you can refer to the list when pitching why you should stay on full-time to your manager.

8. Triple check grammar

Interns are constantly scrutinized for their work and even the little things can make a difference. Next time you’re sending that email or messaging everyone in Slack, pay attention that you’re using the right “they’re, their, or there.”

9. Don’t think internships are beneath you

You’re there for a reason. Whether it’s to gain college credit or to give you more experience, internships are necessary for today’s job marketplace. Be present and let your work speak for itself. You may wonder how menial tasks and less-than-impressive pay are helpful, but when you’re finished you’ll find the pros far outweigh the cons.

10. Become invaluable

THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT TIP OF ALL. Find what your internship needs and become the expert in that area. At the end of the day, business is business. If your manager has to justify hiring you full-time in place of another intern, you need to make sure they’re getting their money’s worth.

This Cinderella-style gown is the most liked wedding dress on Instagram

wedding dresses

The INSIDER Summary:

  • A bride from Indonesia has garnered the most likes ever for a picture of a wedding dress on Instagram.
  • Her stunning gown has received over 200,000 likes.
  • The dress was designed by Ivan Gunawan.

Between Victoria Swarovski’s gorgeous bridal gown, which was
covered in half a million Swarovski crystals, Miranda Kerr’s custom Dior Grace Kelly-inspired design, and Russian bride Lolita Osmanova breathtaking masterpiece, which had a train so long it draped off the podium, Instagram has had its work cut out in choosing a favorite wedding gown.

As it turns out, NONE of these ladies scored the top social media honors of most likes, however.

Instead, it was Indonesian bride Intan Azzahra that managed to rack up a reported 200,000 plus likes on her Cinderella style, Ivan Gunawan gown before making her account private — the most EVER to be seen on a wedding dress.

The dress in question boasted a long-sleeved bodice, with plenty of beading and a fishnet-patterned neckline. It’s real head-turner, however, was the bottom half. With a full, beaded skirt that any Disney princess would surely envy and a massive tulle train trailing behind, Azzahra looked like something straight out of a fairytale — and that pearl crown certainly didn’t hurt!

As gorgeous as it was, Azzahra had yet another style surprise up her sleeve before the night was through — a second dress! The stunning bride changed into a bold red Hengki Kawilarang creation for the second half of her evening.

While it didn’t garner quite as many likes as the first, it was every bit the show-stopper, with a voluminous feathered skirt which gave way to its name of “Red Swan,” a jeweled bodice, and button-down pearls at the back.

Seriously? We’re blown away. *Bowing down to Intan forever.*

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Anna Kendrick's diet and exercise routine is surprisingly simple

The INSIDER Summary:

  • Anna Kendrick's diet and exercise routine isn't as complicated as some of her celebrity peers.
  • She tries to avoid dairy and alcohol, but still treats herself every now and then.
  • Her favorite exercise is "walking vigorously," and she aims to work out for an hour every day.

We all know Anna Kendrick is awesome. She's been in a bunch of hit movies, has the perfect singing voice, and is absolutely hysterical. Who wouldn't want to be like her? I can help you get one step closer by sharing the deets of Anna Kendrick's diet. While eating the same meals as her won't make you famous overnight, it'll at least give you something to do this weekend.

Anna Kendrick's Diet

Anna Kendrick recently told Ellen that since she's turned 30 she's been trying to eat a lot healthier. She said she's trying to work out and eat more vegetables. She said she used to be able to eat Taco Bell whenever she wanted, but not anymore.

#SpoonTip: Anna said eating vegetables was awful at first, so don't stress if they're not your favorite food either.

She's also been known to avoid alcohol and dairy for the sake of her singing voice. She says that she can manage without alcohol (I guess she isn't a martini kind of gal), but that dairy is hard for her to totally give up.

Despite working out rigorously and trying to eat more vegetables, Anna Kendrick is all about treating herself too. She often takes to social media to show her fans her latest baking project. At the end of the day, she's always down to eat peanut butter on Triscuits or a handful of Oreos.

Anna Kendrick's Workout Schedule

Though Anna Kendrick's workout of choice is "walking vigorously" (she described it as a fusion of dance, yoga, and pilates on Ellen), she takes advantage of the the area she lives in by going on hikes. When she's on set, she hops onto the treadmill even though she hates it.

Anna shared that she either works outs for an hour every day or lets herself completely off the hook (she rarely compromises). She also has no trainer (welcome to the club, Anna).

Anna Kendrick's diet is totally doable since it's not really a diet, per se. She's all about balance — a mix of exercise, a few vegetables, and some yummy desserts are all you need to follow in the footsteps of your favorite actress.

Kristen Bell had the best response to fans heartbreak over Chris Pratt and Anna Faris' split

kristen bell dax shepard

The INSIDER Summary:

  • Kristen Bell was asked about about her thoughts on Chris Pratt and Anna Faris' split.
  • Bell responded by questioning the reasoning behind fans' heartbreak.
  • She believes fans shouldn't discount the years they spent together.
  • The star also revealed that she understands how hard a Hollywood marriage can be, as her and Dax Shepard have been open about their time in couples therapy.

Of all the marriages left in Hollywood following news of Chris Pratt and Anna Faris' divorce, it's Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard who are keeping the flag of hope aloft.

That being said, it makes sense that Bell would get asked about her thoughts on Faris and Pratt's divorce. Not only does she have inside experience on Hollywood marriages, but she's also friendly with Pratt and Faris. She acted in an episode of "Everwood" with Pratt and rubbed shoulders with Faris at a 2009 event, according to "Huffington Post."

For Bell's part, she gets it. Splits happen. But she doesn't think it's a reason for fans to feel heartbroken.

"I think there’s a little bit of lack of acknowledgment about really loving something that was,” Bell said in an interview with "E! News.""If there are two people that decide not to be together, it shouldn’t really be a heartbreak for everyone."

She added, "You should say, 'Oh, they tried. But that doesn’t discount the lovely years they had together.' If I ever get divorced, I’m still going to be like, ’Wow, I loved being married to that man.'"

Bell gets that it's tough. She and Shepard have been open about going to couples therapy, and Bell thinks the key to success is prioritizing her marriage.

"I don’t necessarily know that it’s ‘Hollywood’ that gets in the way," Bell said when asked about the downfall of celebrity couples. "The reality is when you’re working in this industry, you’re sometimes shooting a movie in China for four months. You’re away from your family for four months. I think it’s more the separation than anything that can weigh on people."

As for Pratt and Faris, they released a joint statement saying, "We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another."

The two were married for eight years and have a son, Jack.

Their split has been blamed on anything and everything from religion and fame to, yes, Jennifer Lawrence. But let's be real: The truth is probably something more closely related to Bell's outlook. For whatever reason, the relationship just didn't work out.
