'Game of Thrones' star Peter Dinklage is urging fans to stop buying huskies

Ghost direwolfThe INSIDER Summary:

  • "Game of Thrones" fans purchase huskies so that they can claim they own their own direwolf.
  • Pet owners are then abandoning the dogs at shelters once they realize how much work goes into taking care of them.
  • Peter Dinklage is partnering with PETA to put an end to this problem.
  • Dinklage urges fans to realize the responsibility of owning a dog before they purchase a husky of their own.

There may be no bigger cultural phenomenon than "Game of Thrones" at the current moment. It is an all-encompassing force that shuts down your Twitter feed on Sundays, clogs your Facebook with spoilers on Monday, and even inspires pop-up bakeries as a tribute to the show. No other show is really on its level.

If you believe the people at PETA, even pet choices are being inspired by the HBO show. Direwolves, the large and hyper-intelligent wolves found in the northern part of Westeros, are so cool on "Game of Thrones" that they're prompting new pet owners to go out and buy huskies, who share resemblance with the fictional wolves. The problem is not necessarily the demand for the dogs, but how much care goes into watching after them, which is prompting owners to abandon the dogs at shelters once they deal with them firsthand.

Looking to stop this problem, the actor behind Tyrion Lannister, Peter Dinklage, is partnering with PETA to put a stop to this. He released a statement on Tuesday afternoon, calling for fans of "Game of Thrones" to make sure they're prepared for the responsibility of owning a dog, should they take that plunge.

"Please, to all Game of Thrones' many wonderful fans, we understand that due to the direwolves' huge popularity, many folks are going out and buying huskies," said Dinklage. "Not only does this hurt all the wonderful homeless dogs waiting for a chance at a good home in shelters, but shelters are reporting that huskies are being abandoned as often happens when dogs are bought on impulse, without understanding the dog's needs."

Dinklage continued. "Please, please: if you're going to bring a dog into your family, make sure you're prepared for such a tremendous responsibility and remember to always, ALWAYS, adopt from a shelter."

The press release also reveals that this is a phenomenon they've dealt with before, only with different dogs. PETA insists that dogs seen in "101 Dalmatians,""Beverly Hills Chihuahua,""Legally Blonde," and "Men In Black" all inspired spikes in specific dog sales, creating the same sort of problem we're seeing with huskies in 2017. No word on whether the demand for dragon purchases has changed, however.

It's an admirable move from Dinklage, as he understands the scope of "Game of Thrones'" influence better than anyone. Who knows how many people it will actually stop from going out and buying a husky, but even if it's just one person who takes the message to heart, it's a worthwhile gesture.

Inside Kendall Jenner's insane closet

kendall jennerThe INSIDER Summary:

  • Kendall Jenner's closet is filled with A-list gifts from famous friends and family.
  • Jenner teamed up with Vogue to give fans an inside look at her closet.
  • Some of her most prized posessions include shoes from Kanye West, thigh high Balenciagas, and a Paris Hilton-inspired minidress.

As a Kardashian-Jenner, Kendall Jenner has a closet the size of a small city. So, understandably, she’s accumulated a lot of clothes over the years to fill that baby up. But the 21-year-old supermodel isn’t just your average hoarder.

You won’t find ratty t-shirts and outdated hand-me-downs in her wardrobe. Instead, her closet is filled to the brim with A-list gifts from her famous friends and family. (We can see why she doesn’t throw anything out.)

In collaboration with Vogue and Condé Nast Entertainment, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star gave a 360-degree look into her closet, where she broke down all of her most prized possessions. First up: her favorite pair of shoes. While we can assume the runway walker has sported some drool-worthy footwear over the years, her favorite is actually a pair of 7-inch Alaïa boots given to her from her rapper brother-in-law, Kanye West.

Jenner’s boot fetish doesn’t end there. Throughout the video, the E! personality pulls out thigh-high boot after thigh-high boot, giving a little speech about each one. (Among her collection are stompers from Manolo Blahnik and Balenciaga.) The elder Jenner sister’s boot collection is so vast that she said her friends frequently attempt to raid it, until they try them on and learn that the boots are too tall for anyone without 5’10” supermodel-length legs.

Also in Kendall’s closet are a few sentimental items tied to memories with her A-list idols. Among them are a Louis Vuitton fanny pack passed down from her grandmother, a Versace cut-out gown she sported in a photo op with Cindy Crawford, and a slinky metallic minidress in which she rang in her 21st birthday—which is nearly identical to the one Paris Hilton wore on her 21st birthday.

Go in the closet with Kendall, below. But beware of extreme clothing envy.

The brilliant trick Beyoncé uses to tame her eyebrows

beyonceThe INSIDER Summary:

  • Beyoncé’s makeup artist revealed that his go-to brow product to use on the singer is a glue stick.
  • He uses an Elmer's glue stick because it doesn't clog pores and washes off easy.
  • It's best not to use glue for long periods of time because they can cause harm when used on the face.

We don’t know about you, but when we imagine Beyoncé’s go-to beauty products, we picture foundations infused with gold, fairy-dust eyeshadows, and incredibly luxe, handcrafted mascaras that were formulated and pigmented during a year-long process. This is Queen Bey we’re talking about here, OK? But today, our romanticized bubble burst when we were reminded that the 35-year-old is a mere mortal, just like us, who uses normal-people products—and actually has a weirdly brilliant, super-cheap hack for taming her brows.

To get perfectly full—but completely tamed—brows in sweaty, humid heat, Beyoncé’s makeup artist doesn’t opt for a traditional brow gel. Sir John, the crazy-talented makeup wizard who also works with Karlie Kloss and Ashley Graham, says his go-to warm-weather brow product for clients is … a glue stick. “”My [favorite] beauty hack is to use Elmer’s Glue Stick as the ultimate brow gel in the heat,” he tells E! News. “It doesn’t clog your pores and it washes off easily.”

Glue stick techniques have been used and loved within the beauty sphere for quite a while, with the most popular application involving glue, setting powder, and a brow palette to create the perfect arch. But we have to say, Sir John’s simple, no-frills hack is a bit of a game changer.

It is important to note, though, that glue sticks are formulated with chemicals that aren’t necessarily meant for the face. “Elmer’s Glue is generally considered non-toxic, which is why it’s so commonly used in schools,” Joshua Zeichner, the director of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, tells us. “That being said, it wasn’t designed for long-term application on the skin. It likely will cause little harm when applied to the hair or eyebrows, [but] there are many brow gels specifically formulated for use on the face, so I generally recommend sticking to them.”

The jury is still out as to whether we’ll be attempting the hack ourselves—but, real talk: Any chance at having Beyoncé-level brows is hard to pass up.

10 celebrities who no longer take pictures with fans

jennifer lawrence fansThe INSIDER Summary:

  • Fans are quick these days to want a selfie with their favorite celebrity.
  • It's a lot of pressure on celebrities to be picture-ready at any given moment.
  • From Chris Pratt to Prince Harry, these are 10 celebrities who no longer take photos with fans.

In the age of iPhones and Instagram, selfies with celebrities have replaced the traditional autograph. It’s hard to imagine a star encounter these days without fans leaving with some sort of digital evidence of their meeting. And while it’s become so much easier to document significant moments like meeting your idol, it’s also put a ton of pressure on celebrities who may not be picture-ready at every moment of their lives.

Though we’re not ones to harp on the negative side effects of technology, there is something to be said in regard to the way camera phones have significantly reduced the intimacy of face-to-face celebrity encounters. Instead of spending a minute to tell their idols what they mean to them, you’ll more commonly see fans using that minute to whip out their phones for a quick selfie. Some celebrities have taken a stand on the matter, issuing a hard pass on taking photos with fans. Find out who they are, ahead.

Jennifer Lawrence

As one of the biggest actresses in Hollywood, Lawrence is bound to have her opinions on fame. In a 2013 interview with CNN, the actress opened up about having a microscopic lens trained on her and how it has affected her mental health. Something that's helped her cope is sometimes saying no to fans who request a selfie.

"Sometimes I'm nice, sometimes I'm in a bad mood. Like, if I'm at dinner and I'm eating and somebody wants me to stand up and take a picture, it's like—that's actually helped with my anxiety, is knowing that I don't have to say yes and I can say no," Lawrence said. "Because it used to be I didn't want to go out, I didn't want to go to dinner. If I went to dinner, I was wrapped up and then I was like, you know what? I don't have to do it. I can just say no, and that's helped a lot. So it is hard because you don't want to feel rude, because they're people, but at the same time, I have to defend my life and my mental wellness."

Chris Pratt

Since his explosion as a movie star, Pratt has become familiar with the downside of fame. In an interview with Cigar Aficionado, the actor revealed that he no longer takes selfie because of how disingenuous the encounters have become.

“If I go out and want to do normal things, I have to be comfortable disappointing people. So I just don’t take pictures with people. Because that’s not about enjoying the moment; it’s about stealing the moment to brag about later,” Pratt said. "Now, when he’s asked to take a picture in public, he responds, “‘Would you settle for a handshake?’ And then they take the picture anyway."

Emma Watson

For the "Harry Potter" star, fan selfies can potentially lead to an unsafe situation. In a 2017 interview with Vanity Fair, the "Beauty and the Beast" actress opened up about her qualms with with fan hysteria in a social media age.

“For me, it’s the difference between being able to have a life and not. If someone takes a photograph of me and posts it, within two seconds they’ve created a marker of exactly where I am within 10 meters,” she said. "They can see what I’m wearing and who I’m with. I just can’t give that tracking data."

Professional bodyguards reveal how to stay safe while traveling

$

bodyguard queen

Unless you're a celebrity or a high-profile CEO, you've probably never traveled with your own personal security detail.

While the rest of us might imagine a fleet of buff men in crisp suits with headsets, the people who actually do it for a living claim their day to day is far from Men In Black.

"It’s completely the antithesis of what we do,” said Shawn Engbrecht, president of CASS Global Security, adding, "Most of it's in the preparation."

Because many of the strategies used by bodyguards can be adopted by travelers of all stripes, Travel + Leisure spoke to Engbrecht and Jason Porter, vice president at the security guard and detective agency Pinkerton, to get their tips for staying safe on the road.

Always be aware of your surroundings

It may seem obvious, but maintaining a level of situational awareness is key to staying safe while in unfamiliar surroundings. Don’t walk around while looking only at your phone or a map.

“The longer you stumble around and clank and clunk and look like prey, the more time you’re going to give the predators...to develop that plan,” said Engbrecht.

Don't make yourself an easy target

Wearing a T-shirt or baseball cap that immediately identifies you as a tourist, keeping your wallet in your back pocket, or carrying a purse that could be easily stolen are all ways to make yourself a target. Try to blend in with neutral clothing that doesn’t advertise your nationality, and secure your valuables by tucking your wallet in your breast pocket or carrying a cross-body bag, Engbrecht said.

“[Criminals are] looking for the path of least resistance,” Porter added.

Plan in advance

Both Engbrecht and Porter stressed the importance of planning ahead of time. That way, you'll be aware of any potential threats specific to your destination. Setting up transportation in advance can also remove you from potentially predatory situations while on the ground.

Girl Traveler Shopping

Ask locals about their preferences

While hopping on the local bus in New York might be a perfectly safe way to get around, the same isn’t recommended for tourists in every city. Porter said he always works closely with local partners to get their recommendations on where to go — and how to get there.

Be cautious on social media

It’s tempting to post an Instagram of your dream vacation in Europe the moment you land in Paris, but you’re essentially advertising to the world that you’re not at home. While most travelers aren’t targeted in the way that celebrities are (Hillary Duff’s home was recently robbed after she posted photos on vacation in Canada) social media snapshots can be a problem for regular travelers, too.

Protect your technology

Always secure technology in a locked safe and avoid using public Wi-Fi, which can be easily hacked, according to Porter. “Keeping physical control of your computer and your equipment is crucial," he said.

Carry a burner wallet

Even the most cautious travelers can find themselves the victim of a mugging. Engbrecht recommends carrying a "burner wallet," with an old ID and a few $20 bills, to give to an assailant in the event of an assault.

Winnie Harlow Body Positivity

The INSIDER Summary:

  • Winnie Harlow is a 23-year-old model from Canada.
  • Recently, she posed for a nearly nude selfie on Instagram to make a point about body positivity.
  • "The real difference isn't my skin. It's the fact that I don't find my beauty in the opinions of others. I'm beautiful because I know it," she said.
  • Harlow's message is now going viral, with over 481,000 users liking the post.

Over the past few years, social media users have been pushing for a more inclusive definition of beauty.

One model with the skin condition vitiligo is going viral for embracing her individual beauty in a nearly nude photo she posted to Instagram. Vitiligo is characterized by white patches on the skin that develop when pigment-forming cells are destroyed, according to WebMD.

Winnie Harlow shared the August 16 selfie, which we first saw on People, to show off her patches and prove there's power in being unique.

Posing confidently with her head tilted back, the 23-year-old model captioned the post: "The real difference isn't my skin. It's the fact that I don't find my beauty in the opinions of others. I'm beautiful because I know it. Celebrate Your unique beauty today (& everyday)!"

Fans flooded Harlow's comments with praise.

"So incredible to see @winnieharlow! Your skin is so beautiful and so are you for sharing to the world with such positivity. Love it! Keep it coming," one Instagram user wrote.

Another person wrote: "How many applauds can I give this post. [sic] You are such an inspiration."

"Needed to hear this! Thank you," someone else commented.

This isn't the first time Harlow has used her platform to speak out. Her Instagram account is essentially a memo board for body positivity and self-love.

👑🚿wash day.. (back story: I grew up with natural hair and got to middle school where I was already different and was one of the only black girls with "nappy hair" as everyone had a chemical relaxer. I wanted my hair to look like theirs so I begged my mom for a relaxer and all my hair fell out from it. In high school I decide to go natural and grew my hair long and healthy. I educated myself on natural hair and my hair was thriving. When I entered the modelling industry the braids and twists I protected my hair with weren't versatile enough for my job, so I tried weaves... Unfortunately, the hair I would leave out to cover my tracks went completely straight from all the heat damage from work, and then fell out. I was devastated. I worked so hard for the health of my hair. I sat down with my favourite hair stylist from Toronto and she introduced me to wigs as protective styling and Thank God she did. Sometimes in my career now I seem difficult when it comes to my natural hair, but most black girls will understand our hair is like a crown made of very delicate flowers that damage so very easily. I joke about naps because I know the struggle. This is 1 full year of hair growth. My goal is bra strap length, healthy hair.) 🤗💕💋🙏🏽💛👑

A post shared by ♔Winnie Harlow♔ (@winnieharlow) on Jul 22, 2017 at 9:35am PDT on

The former "America's Next Top Model" contestant has been vocal when speaking publicly as well. Several media outlets have quoted her saying that she's "proud" of her skin. She also wants others to feel just as confident as she does despite ever-changing beauty standards, according to her interview with Coveteur.

"My beauty philosophy is very general — beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I try not to focus on what someone else thinks is beautiful, Harlow said. "People will always say, 'What is your definition of beauty?' or 'What is beauty to you?' It doesn’t matter. What is beautiful to you? Let’s stick to that. You don’t have to search for someone else’s definition of beauty to know what is beautiful to you."

Despite pressure to look a certain way within the fashion industry, it's inspiring to see someone encouraging others to simply love the skin they're in.

The INSIDER Summary:

  • The We Love Manchester fund has raised enough money to give each of the victim's families $324,000 in honor of their loved ones.
  • The fund has raised $23 million through donations from the public and Ariana Grande's One Love Manchester concert.

The world was shocked by the May 22 terror attack at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester that left 22 people dead and hundreds of others injured. In the months since, the singer has worked hard to support her fans in the city and to raise money through the We Love Manchester fund, which was set up in the wake of the tragedy.

According to Entertainment Weekly, each of the families of the 22 victims who were killed in the attack will receive $324,000 in honor of their loved ones. (The fund has also given money to people who spent time in the hospital following the attack.) To date, the charity has raised $23 million through donations from the public and Grande’s One Love Manchester concert.

“The city and the world responded with such extreme kindness, generosity and solidarity in the aftermath of the Manchester Arena attack,” Manchester city councillor Sue Murphy said of the money raised, according to CNN. “We will now spend some time looking at how we will distribute the rest of the funds. This will be a complex and sensitive process as we will need to assess the long-term impacts of the attack.”

A post shared by Ariana Grande (@arianagrande) on

After the May bombing, Grande expressed her heartbreak over the tragedy in a statement, saying, “My heart, prayers, and deepest condolences are with the victims of the Manchester attack and their loved ones. There is nothing I or anyone can do to take away the pain you are feeling or to make this better.”

She continued: “The only thing we can do now is choose how we let this affect us and how we live our lives from here on out. I have been thinking of my fans, and of you all, nonstop over the past week. The way you have handled all of this has been more inspiring and made me more proud than you’ll ever know. The compassion, kindness, love, strength, and oneness that you’ve shown one another this past week is the exact opposite of the heinous intentions it must take to pull off something as evil as what happened Monday. YOU are the opposite.”

The INSIDER Summary:

  • Chris Hemsworth celebrated his 34th birthday at the private island resort Orpheus Island Lodge in Australia.
  • He and his family went rock climbing, paddle boarding and spent time on the beach.
  • Hemsworth is currently a Tourism Australia ambassador.

Chris Hemsworth has a dream job, and we aren’t talking about his work as a Hollywood superhero.

Instead, the job we’re jealous over is his role as a Tourism Australia ambassador, because it looks like it comes with some seriously cool perks.

Hemsworth, along with wife Elsa Pataky and a crew of their closest friends, have been busy over the last view days sharing stunning photos to Instagram from their travels to Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

“One of the best weekends ever thanks @orpheusisland and @australia,” Hemsworth captioned a shot. “If you haven't been then add it to the long list of amazing places to see in Oz, it's a must!”

The group stayed at the private island resort Orpheus Island Lodge, a boutique property surrounded by small reefs near the country’s mainland, in celebration of the actor’s 34th birthday. There, the group went rock climbing, paddle boarding, snorkeling, and appeared to have plenty of beach fun.

Off to dinner ✨💛

A post shared by April Munro (@aprilmun) on Aug 12, 2017 at 1:28am PDT on

The stunning photos of Hemsworth and his handsome crew are exactly why the tourism board hired him in the first place.

“Personal photos shared by Chris enjoying quality family time against iconic backdrops such as Uluru, the Kimberley, the Whitsundays and The Great Barrier Reef are tourism gold for us,” Tourism Australia’s managing director John O’Sullivan told the Courier Mail. “We chose him for his authenticity and genuine passion for his country, which always comes across strongly in the postings of Australia which he shares with his millions of fans and followers around the world.”

Beyond sharing their private island retreat on social media, the group also shared a few photos of their equally glamorous private transportation, including a chartered jet and helicopter.

“Cheers to @avminaircharter for always giving us the smoothest ride out there,” Hemsworth captioned a shot of his crew standing in front of a bright red helicopter.

And while traveling to Australia like Hemsworth can be done, it won’t come cheap: A one-night stay at Orpheus Island will set you back about $2,300. However, the island’s impeccable views, world-class dining experience, and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a close encounter with the Great Barrier Reef make it well worth the travel investment.

  • Kylie Jenner stepped out stepped out sporting a tan, but her hands were a different shade from her face.
  • Pictures show a clear contrast between the reality star's plae hands and self-tanned face.
  • Jenner fell victim to a self-tanner mishap.

Even the head of a multimillion-dollar cosmetics empire can fall victim to a beauty fail from time to time. Case in point: Kylie Jenner stepped out yesterday in Los Angeles sporting a nearly flawless late-summer tan—aside from the fact that her hands were a completely different shade from her face. In other words, the 20-year-old reality star fell victim to the worst fear of anyone who has ever given self-tanner a spin.

The, uh, faux-tan faux pas happened last night as the “Life of Kylie” star was leaving dinner at Pace Restaurant in L.A. with her BFF Jordyn Woods and older sister Kendall Jenner. As for style, the younger Jenner sister kept it casual with an oversized racing jacket, black leggings, and a pair of velvet Fendi sandals.

Her makeup is where it got complicated. Though Kylie’s face was perfectly bronzed as per usual, her hands told a different story. In the pictures, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star can be seen following her dinner partners out of the restaurant as the trio is caught in a flurry of paparazzi flashes. To presumably shield herself, Kylie lifts her hand to her face, where fans could see a clear contrast between her pale hands and self-tanned face.

Obviously, only those with an eagle-eye for beauty and Kardashian-Jenner fails would be able to point out the self-tanner mishap, so it’s likely Kylie went through dinner without anyone mentioning a thing. Plus, Kylie can’t be the only celeb—or person—who has experienced a beauty fail in her life. We’re right there with you, Kyles!

Anthony Bourdain has, in his own words, a "disgusting, shameful" secret.

The chef-turned-TV host revealed in an interview that he cannot resist the siren’s song of macaroni and cheese from Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen.

Those hanging out in a Popeyes (especially in New York City, where Bourdain lives) may spot a tall, incognito figure hovering at the counter, ordering a bowl of the stuff and attempting to slink out without recognition.

"Late at night, I've been known to sneak in there with a hoodie on — and I always get nailed," Bourdain told The Boston Globe. "People are like, 'Dude, I'm going to put this on Instagram.'"

But anybody who has tasted the gooey, unidentifiable goodness that is Popeyes mac and cheese knows all too well how easy it is to succumb to its carb-loaded comfort food powers. And in a pinch, Bourdain admitted that he will pop into KFC for a bowl of Colonel Sanders' interpretation.

However for a man who is constantly traveling to far-flung locations, it's not always easy to procure fast food mac and cheese. So, when on the road, Bourdain admitted that he and his crew will order spaghetti bolognese when the cameras stop rolling, "if only for the comedy value.”"

"Every restaurant in the world, every hotel has spaghetti bolognese on the menu and I have a perverse desire to see how they make it," Bourdain told The Boston Globe. "It's become a joke with my crew."

Although Bourdain may not have gourmet standards for cheesy pasta dishes, he does for burgers, negronis, and whiskey

The INSIDER Summary:

  • Jennifer Lopez's makeup artist revealed her tips for dealing with higher temperatures and humidity.
  • A good primer and color correcting concealer will give you an even finish.
  • Try spritzing a mixture of lemon juice, aloe vera, and chamomile tea to get sun-kissed locks.
  • Ketchup can be used to removed green streaks from chlorine damage.

It’s August, which means it’s prime sunburn and frizzy hair season. This is a fact most of us deal with and accept every year, but for Jennifer Lopez, looking summertime frazzled simply isn’t an option.

Kate Best, a makeup artist who has worked with Lopez for years, recently shared a few of her insider tips and tricks with the Daily Mail for looking like the megastar no matter how high the temperatures and humidity climb.

According to best, looking great in the summer heat all starts with your base. As she explained, this means applying a primer to your face before anything else. A primer will fill in all your tiny wrinkles and give your foundation something to stick to.

Next, Best said, keep your makeup routine super light and only apply a small amount of concealer or foundation to simply even out your skin tone. Overdoing it could result in a cracked finish that runs down your cheeks in the afternoon sun.

Finally, apply just a touch of highlighter or cream to your cheekbones, browbone and cupid’s bow to bring back just enough of that dewy glow. Top it off with a makeup setting spray and your face should stay in place all day and all night.

Jennifer Lopez

But if you’ve spent too much time in the summer sun and have the burn to prove it, Best has a special tip for you: Try a color-correcting concealer.

Go for a concealer with green or blue undertones, because as you know from learning the color wheel in kindergarten, these colors will cancel out the reddish hue on your face. Apply a moisturizing foundation to help undo some of the sun damage, and finish it off with a small amount of powder to help it set.

Beyond showing off your fantastic summer face, Best also shared a few key insights to getting Lopez-worthy hair this August.

If you’re looking to get her sun-kissed locks, Best suggested spritzing your mane with a mixture of lemon juice, aloe vera, and chamomile tea. While the lemon juice will oxidize in the sun, causing the hair to slightly bleach its pigmentation, the tea and aloe will act as a rich conditioner to treat your hair.

To fight frizz, Best said it’s key to put a bit of product in your hair when it’s wet to ensure it locks into the follicles as they dry.

And finally, if you find yourself the victim of the dreaded green hair streaks after spending a bit too much time in the pool, Best says your solution is already inside your fridge: ketchup.

According to Best, once you spot any green streaks in your hair, mix tomato juice or ketchup into your regular conditioner and let it sit for half an hour. Next, simply wash it out and continue your regular beauty routine.

Hey, if it’s good enough for J.Lo, it’s good enough for us.

EMBARGOED arnold scharwzenegger

In a new video, Austrian-born Arnold Schwarzenegger calls on President Donald Trump to reject the support of white supremacists and neo-Nazis.

Tracing the violent and "losing ideology" of Nazism and white supremacy, in the wake of the violence in Charlottesville, Schwarzenegger condemns the presence of hate groups in the United States.

"I knew the original Nazis, because you see, I was born in Austria in 1947, shortly after the second world war," Schwarzenegger says.

"I can tell you that these ghosts [hate groups] idolize spent the rest of their lives living in shame and right now, they're resting in hell," he continues.

Schwarzenegger addresses Trump's "moral responsibility" to repudiate racist groups and suggests a speech that the president should give.

"The world is watching. Now, let me help you write your speech a little bit," Schwarzenegger says. "'As President of the United States and as a Republican, I reject the support of white supremacists. The country that defeated Hitler's armies is no place for Nazi flags. The party of Lincoln won't stand with those who carry the battle flag of the failed Confederacy.'"

The video is part of a string of issue-driven shorts Schwarzenegger has made with new media company ATTN. His last video, on the Paris Climate Agreement, has more than 77 million views on Facebook so far.

'The Bachelorette' star Rachel Lindsay says her fiancee's mom is already 'pressuring us for babies'

rachel and bryan bachelorette

The INSIDER Summary:

  • Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo got engaged only a little over a week ago, but Abasolo's mom is already pressuring them for babies.
  • Rachel Lindsay said that she wants to wait until after they get married to have kids.
  • She also revealed that they would like three or four kids eventually.

It’s been just a little over a week since the world (finally!) learned of Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo’s engagement, but the two lovebirds have had a few months now to enjoy their time together and plan for the future. We know they’ve discussed when they’ll get married, and now we’re learning that they’ve talked about when they’ll have kids, too — in part because of Abasolo’s mother.

“His mom actually is pressuring us for babies. She’d be happy if we started a family right away,” Lindsay, 32, told "Us Weekly." And while the former "Bachelorette" definitely wants to have children down the road, she and Abasolo are focused on a few other priorities at the moment. “I do want to wait until after we get married in winter 2017 or ’18,” she said. “We want three or four [kids]. We’ll see what’s in the cards. It’s a fun thing to plan.”

In the meantime, the pair are thinking about getting a dog together. “I’m fine with just [my dog] Copper,” Lindsay said. “But Bryan is obsessed with dogs and he really wants us to get one together, specifically a small dog. He keeps saying, ‘Bae, we have to get a small dog together.’” Cute!

And that’s not the only big decision they’re trying to make. They’re currently debating whether they should settle in Abasolo’s base in Miami, Lindsay’s hometown of Dallas, or perhaps somewhere completely new.

“We’re talking about Dallas, LA, or Miami,” she explained. “We just want to bring our two lives together, that’s what is really important. We are putting our list of places we want to live together. Right now, LA is looking pretty nice, but we’re not sure yet.”

For now, they’re just enjoying getting to know each other better. “I’m learning how much we really have in common,” Lindsay shared. “We both love scary movies, comedy TV shows, sports, and that has been so fun to find out about each other, but also other things, like he takes longer to get ready in the morning than I do!” She added that they’re “adjusting to each other’s schedules” and having fun “figuring each other out.”

Considering they have a lifetime ahead of them to do just that, let’s hope it’s stays fun for years to come.

Blake Lively drew America Ferrera into a 'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' reunion photo

sisterhood of traveling pants

The INSIDER Summary:

  • Blake Lively drew America Ferrera into a photo of a "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" reunion she missed.
  • The photo is from May 2017 when Lively, Amber Tamblyn, and Alexis Bledel attended a movie screening together.
  • Ferrera responded with a funny comment on Lively's post.

While we eagerly await news about a possible "
Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 3" movie (there’s still hope!), the franchise’s stars continue to thrill us with baby news and mini reunions. But juggling busy schedules means it’s hard to get all four gals together at once. Fortunately for us, Blake Lively has a solution for that. When America Ferrera missed a group outing, the "Shallows" actress simply drew her into the reunion.

While the original picture of Lively, Amber Tamblyn, and Alexis Bledel is a little dated — it was taken back in May when Lively and Bledel attended a screening of Tamblyn’s directorial debut, "Paint It Black," at NYC’s Museum of Modern Art — "The Shallows" star made a little update to the shot this week to make sure her friend wasn’t left out.

A post shared by Blake Lively (@blakelively) on

“Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya AF,” Lively captioned the pic, which features a hand-drawn version of Ferrera with a heart-shaped head. And how do we know it’s America Ferrera? Well, besides the striking resemblance, Lively added the initials “AF” so there would be no mistake. “@americaferrera while professionally editing you into this photo, I realized you have the coolest and most appropriate initials EVER! #BadassAF #SistersForever #tbt.”

Ferrera appreciated her friend’s creation, commenting, “Blake, you’re like a professional portrait drawer. I was so confused about how I got into that pic! #goodateverything #loveyou.” Too funny! These friends continue to be as cute offscreen as they are on-screen.

People are so obsessed with this $40 dress from Zara that there's an entire blog dedicated to it

zara viral dress

The INSIDER Summary:

  • It seems like everyone owns the same off-the-shoulder denim Zara dress.
  • Comedian Lulu Kraus runs a blog of called The Blue Off-the-Shoulder Dress from Zara, where she pictures of people in the dress.
  • She started the blog in 2016.
  • Zara no longer sells the dress, but people still wear it.
  • Lulu's also sells a similar style.

When it comes to fashion, there are some items that just *hit* — Gigi Hadid’s Everlane sneakers, for instance, which had a 10,000 person waiting list at one point or those sold out ADAY leggings. Most recently, one Zara dress has become so popular, it even has its own Tumblr page.

Shoulder? I barely know her

A post shared by Lulu Krause (@lulukrause) on Aug 15, 2017 at 9:39am PDT on

Aptly titled The Blue Off-the-Shoulder-Dress from Zara, the blog was created in 2016 by comedian Lulu Kraus and is essentially a photo album of all the times she or acquaintances have spotted the trendy look. (Though to be fair, this style isn’t exclusively made by the fast-fashion retailer, so it’s likely there are several non-Zara pics on the site.)

The inspiration behind the Tumblr came from being inundated by sightings of the piece in NYC. “At the beginning of last summer, I started noticing the trend all over New York,” she told Refinery 29. “The dress was popping up so frequently it’s almost like… it chose me.”

Between her own sightings and Facebook friends, who have begun to send her eight to nine photos per week of the dress from all over the world, she’s amassed quite the collection — more than 40 shots are currently live, with 80 more just waiting to be uploaded.

Shockingly, Kraus says that despite its easy aesthetic, the pick is not particularly comfortable. “I’d say you lose around 80 percent of your mobility in it — your arms can’t go above 45 degrees without compromising the intended shape of the garment,” she said.

While we couldn’t find the *exact* dress on Zara’s website (looks like the brand has moved on), we did spot a very similar Light Blue Chambray Off-the-Shoulder Dress ($47) on Lulu’s. But if you want to make it onto the blog, you better act fast. Kraus doesn’t see it lasting too much longer. “I think yes, the trend will soon fade away (I can’t imagine it making a third comeback next summer.),” she said.

The Olympic gymnastics team reunited over the weekend — and the photos are adorable

The INSIDER Summary:

  • The 2016 women's Olympic gymnastics team (aka the "Final Five") was just inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame.
  • Four of the five team members were reunited for the induction ceremony on Saturday night.
  • They posted some really cute Instagrams.

It was just over a year ago that the "Final Five" US women's gymnastics team dominated over competitors at the Rio Olympics. As a group, they brought home nine medals: Four gold, four silver, and one bronze.

Now, the team is celebrating a new win: being inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame.

Back in March, USA Gymnastics announced that the whole team — Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian, and Gabby Douglas — had earned a spot in the Hall of Fame. Douglas got the special honor of being inducted as an individual gymnast.

At the induction ceremony on Saturday night, four of the Final Five were reunited  and they shared plenty of adorable Instagram posts to let their fans know all about it.

"Very honored to be inducted into the Hall of Fame with these girls," Kocian wrote in the caption to this post.

"Love making memories [with] these girls," Biles captioned this photo.

A post shared by Simone Biles (@simonebiles) on

And Biles and Hernandez — who both competed on "Dancing with the Stars" after the Olympics — posed for a sweet selfie.

The one notable absence from the photos, of course, is Gabby Douglas, who didn't mention the ceremony on any of her social media profiles over the weekend. Online commenters flooded Biles', Hernandez's, and Kocian's posts with unanswered inquiries about Douglas' absence. (INSIDER has reached out to Douglas' team for comment.)

Still, it's fun to see most of the team back together, smiling, and celebrating their hard work.

These teenage boys wore off-the-shoulder tops to protest their high school's sexist dress code

off the shoulder 1

The INSIDER Summary:

  • Over 50 students were given dress code violations for wearing off-the-shoulder shirts to high school in Hollister, California.
  • The shirts have technically been against the school's dress code for several years, but the students claim that the policy was first enforced on August 10.
  • On August 14, dozens of  female and male students protested this policy by wearing off-the-shoulder tops to school.
  • Students felt that banning off-the-shoulder tops is sexist because it targets a style of clothing worn more commonly by women.
  • Now, students are in talks with the school's principal to update the dress code.

Off-the-shoulder tops might be in style this season, but high schools across the country are not exactly thrilled about the trend.

On August 10, students at San Benito High School in Hollister, California, were confused to find out that they had broken the school's dress code by wearing off-the-shoulder tops, according to Yahoo Style. Over 50 students were punished for wearing the style — and one student claimed that some were even sent home for violating the school's dress code, Yahoo Style reported.

In response, dozens of male and female students at the school staged a protest against the policy by wearing off-the-shoulder shirts to school on August 14.

The protest seemed to be a success.

Although the school's dress code has technically prohibited strapless and tube tops in the past, students claim that the policy was enforced for the first time this year.

"The dress code policy hasn’t been an issue the past two years I have been here," an unnamed 16-year-old student told Yahoo Style. The student told the site that she and other students had frequently worn off-the-shoulder shirts before without getting in trouble.

Another student said that it's ironic that students can't wear off-the-shoulder tops to class when they are required to wear them in their yearbook portraits.

Still, San Benito High School's principal Adrian Ramirez defended the dress code.

"Students are saying that they were hearing that the reason [strapless and off-the-shoulder shirts] are not allowed is that it distracted the boys and that’s definitely not it at all. And they felt offended by that, and I completely agree that, if that was our stance, I would be offended too," he told Yahoo Style. "Part of my job is to clarify the why behind the dress code. Whether you are a male or female student, it’s your own responsibility not to be distracted, regardless of your gender."

The principal met with students on August 17 to discuss the dress code, and said that he has learned a lot from this experience.

"It’s been a really good process for me as principal to sit down and hear where issues arose," he told the site. "We wouldn’t blame a female student at all. We would never blame a female student for another student being distracted by something they wore. The other thing is as a school, we should be looking back and looking at how consistently we address the dress code across campus, and that’s something else students have brought up."

However, the same 16-year-old student quoted above said she found the situation frustrating. "Off-the-shoulder is a very big trend in the fashion industry right now," she said. "It’s not harming anyone physically….I think it is ridiculous how we have to fight against [the administration] to wear a shirt that is not harming anyone."
